Hidden Faces

Loose washes of lavender, yellow, and blue pool and drip across raw canvas, gathering into something that reads almost as a face a suggestion of eyes, a curve like a cheek before dissolving back into pure color and gravity. Paint bleeds downward in thin rivulets, unhurried, allowed to settle where it wants, while charcoal lines sketch the faintest outline of a profile hovering just behind the mess. Nothing insists on being seen clearly; everything hovers at the edge of recognition.
